Altitude Junkies is a Sherpa and Western-led adventure company offering expeditions and treks in Nepal and Peru, combining local expertise with international standards to deliver safe, authentic, and personalized mountain experiences with professionally managed trips. The iconic Everest expedition, along with the Manaslu and Makalu expeditions, offers technical climbing on the Himlung Himal 6000m peaks, which include Amadablam, Cholatse, Kyajo Ri, and Mera Peak, as well as stunning treks. Whether you prefer private climbing expeditions or small group climbing expeditions in Nepal, every expedition is carefully planned and Sherpa-supported from start to finish. Beyond Nepal, our Peru expeditions take climbers deep into the Cordillera Blanca—tackling world-class peaks including Alpamayo, Tocllaraju, Pisco, Ishinca, Urus Este, and Yanapaccha. Built for climbers who choose altitude over comfort—adventure, authenticity, and the classic mountain experience, every time.

Having a 1:2 climbing Sherpa to climber ratio allows a more flexible schedule to travel with the climbing Sherpa during acclimatization rotations. Cholaste is comparable in technical difficulty to Ama Dablam, but there are less teams present. Unlike the Dablam, Cholatse is climbed prominently on snow and ice.

Everest Base Camp Trek, Nepal
Not everyone has three weeks to spend in the Himalayas, but that doesn’t mean you should miss the experience of reaching Everest Base Camp. Our S I G N A TU R E Everest Base Camp Trek is designed for trekkers who want to maximize their time on the trail while minimizing the common travel challenges of the Khumbu region. Instead of relying on the often unpredictable fixed-wing flights to Lukla, we FLY DIRECTLY FROM KATHMANDU TO NAMCHE BAZAAR BY HELICOPTER. This allows you to avoid airport congestion, flight delays, weather cancellations, and the long queues that are common during the busy trekking seasons. We spend two nights in Namche Bazaar, giving your body valuable time to acclimatize before continuing deeper into the Khumbu Valley. From there, the trek follows the classic Everest Base Camp route through Phortse, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep, and Everest Base Camp, allowing you to experience the very best of the region without compromising on acclimatization.
14 Days USD 3,100 – 3,100
Everest Expedition – 8848m ~ The worlds Highest Mountain.
Altitude Junkies (P) Ltd. offer one of the most cost-effective full-service expeditions to E V E R E S T in the Khumbu region of the Nepalese Himalaya. We don’t advertise an expedition price and then ask for additional payments at the conclusion of the expedition such as Sherpa summit bonus and kitchen staff gratuities as some of the other operators do. The price you pay the Junkies is the final price. This expedition is offered with a 1:1 Sherpa to climber ratio. There is no western leader from Altitude Junkies Inc. present on the expedition. Everest is technically less demanding than peaks such as Cholatse or Ama Dablam, but its extreme altitude, long summit day, and unpredictable weather make it one of the world’s greatest mountaineering challenges. Unlike technical 6,000 m peaks, success on Everest depends more on acclimatization, endurance, sound decision making, and efficient movement over snow, ice, and fixed ropes from Camp II to the summit.
51 Day USD 48,000 – 48,000
H I M L U N G H I M A L – 7126m
Altitude Junkies (P) Ltd. offer one of the most cost-effective full-service expeditions to Ama Dablam in the Khumbu region of the Nepalese Himalaya. Himlung Himal is comparatively easier and much more straightforward than any other 7,000-meter expedition in Nepal. This makes it the absolute best introduction to sustained high-altitude climbing. Once you successfully summit Himlung, you will have the technical foundation and altitude experience needed to confidently transition to an 8,000-meter peak like Manaslu or Everest.
21 Days USD 8,500 – 8,500
Kyajo Ri Expedition, Nepal – 6,186m
Altitude Junkies (P) Ltd. offer one of the most cost-effective full-service expeditions to Kyajo-ri in the Khumbu region of the Nepalese Himalaya. The price you pay the Junkies is the final price. This expedition is offered with a 1:1 Sherpa to climber ratio. There is no western leader from Altitude Junkies Inc. present on the expedition. Kyajo Ri is a technical alpine climb that demands greater mountaineering skills than the standard trekking peaks in Nepal. Unlike the more crowded routes on Ama Dablam, Kyajo Ri offers a remote and quieter climbing experience with very few teams on the mountain. The route involves steep snow, ice, mixed terrain, and sections of exposed rock, requiring proficiency in crampon techniques, fixed-rope ascension, and efficient movement.

The Makalu Expedition (8,485 m) is a serious and technically demanding 8,000-meter adventure for experienced high-altitude climbers. Located in the remote eastern Himalayas of Nepal, Makalu combines steep snow and ice, exposed ridges, and challenging high-altitude climbing with a remote and less-crowded expedition environment. Our approach focuses on strong acclimatization, experienced Sherpa support, careful route management, and safety-first decision-making.

If you have already summited a challenging 7,000-meter peak like Himlung Himal (7,126m), Manaslu serves as your perfect stepping stone to test your body in the “death zone” before aiming for Everest.
